YAY! For MUSICAL THEATRE!

YAY! MUSICAL THEATRE

The YAY Foundation is committed to making mental and behavioral health a priority through the arts, using musical theatre as a powerful tool for self-expression and healing. We bring vibrant productions and educational workshops to communities, helping young adults and people of all ages find their voices through the magic of musical theatre.

Our productions range from quirky, original adaptations like Scream: The Musical and A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Musical to classic, award-winning shows such as Falsettoland, which we use to advocate for HIV awareness. We also lead week-long workshops where students explore their creativity, develop confidence, and express themselves through music and performance.

Arts Education!

“The program really helped the students not only become better performers, but it also increased their interpersonal skills and their confidence. After the program they seemed to be able to communicate more clearly and more freely.”

-Wendy James, Founder Exec. Director of Jefferson Arts Center, 2022

Falsettoland, The Musical
Work Sample

"Falsettoland was one of the most powerful and moving performances I’ve ever seen. The combination of humor, heart, and raw emotion made the message of HIV awareness so impactful. It wasn’t just a show—it was a conversation starter, a tribute, and a call to action for our community. I left feeling deeply inspired and more connected to the cause than ever before."
